A Brief History
Spirited Music was founded in 1995 and began with only one music teacher. The first year of existence was completed by having only 35 students and one teacher. The school was stationed in a little 390 sq. Ft studio at 238 St. Mary’s Road. The following year saw our student numbers grow to 86 students, and three teachers, and we have never looked back. In the year 2000, we moved into 246 St. Mary’s Road. The new building offered 5,000 sq. Ft of space. With over 16 teaching rooms, a huge waiting room, a 100 seat recital hall, a full line retail store, a rental department, a repair shop and parking for over 30 cars, we finally had the space to create. Our students have gone on to University and colleges all over Canada and have played with symphonies, choirs, fiddle groups, and orchestras.
As of this writing, Spirited Music has taught over 10,000 students, as well as hosted over a 1,000 recitals. We have also had over a 120 professionally trained teachers educating at our location over the years. Having maximized our current location we are now in the planning stages of putting up a new two storey 11,000 sq. Ft facility. We hope to see you there one day.
